Only racists care about race
Only one day after reading about a USMA professor telling us not to worry, the race-obsessed Red Guard isn’t descending upon West Point, this article appears from Modern Warfare Institute:
It probably goes without saying, I didn’t trust his assurances.
They are volunteers. They volunteer and request the branch they want. And the Army makes a decision and assigns them one based on their preference, demonstrated capability and needs of the Army.
It seems to be individuals making choices. It you want to take their ability away to make that choice and force people into jobs they don’t want based upon race. Do it. Make it policy. If race is that big of a concern, make the policy that gives branch assignments based upon race. I can’t wait.
I would like to know how you effect that policy when photos are removed from boards and career decisions are supposed to ambivalent to race. I guess we don’t care about race until we are told to, then we have to. But if you do consider race, it’s racist, unless it’s for an approved reason (affirmative action). And if you don’t consider race it’s also systemically racist. I wish the the religion of SocJus would come up with a standard set of dogma we could apply to all but that would probably be racist or some kind of phobic.
Should race be a consideration for for assignments or promotions? I don’t think so. I think it’s a disgusting consideration because it means nothing. But I’m one of those old dinosaurs, I guess.
Needless to say I think that USMA professor is a myopic, ignorant dope.
Also if we could get the officers at USMA and GOs to stop jerking off to “White Fragility” long enough to read a counter opinion like “Discrimination and Disparities,” by Thomas Sowell, that would be great.
